2018 Ski for the Pass Archive

Ski for the Pass  |  February 18, 2018

HUGE THANKS to the 60+ people who came out for a perfect bluebird day on Sunday to participate in the 7k classic ski tour and race from the winter closure gate five miles east of Aspen up  Independence Pass to the Lincoln Creek turnoff. 14-year-old Anders Weiss was the winner of this Aspen Cup Race Series event with a time of 41:28 minutes.  The Ski is hosted by the Ute Mountaineer and is a benefit for IPF.  Huge thanks to the Ute, the City of Aspen, which packed and groomed the route throughout the week prior to the event after big recent snows, and to Paradise Bakery for the delicious goodies.  (And thank you to Jim Paussa for the photographs.)

Registration for next year will open in January 2019 at the Ute Mountaineer--see you then!
