Summit Sustainers

A small group of donors makes a special contribution to Independence Pass. In 2003, IPF’s Board of Trustees formed a new group of supporters called "Summit Sustainers" composed of individuals, businesses, and foundations who commit to making a gift that totals $12,095 over a one- to five-year period. Donors may choose to pay the full amount of the gift in a single year, or they may take up to five years ($2,419 per year) to fulfill their pledges by making annual payments.

What is the significance of 12,095? The summit of Independence Pass is 12,095 feet, and IPF has concentrated much of its restoration work on the steep hillsides along the “Top Cut”, which lies just below the summit on the western side. We deeply appreciate the sustained commitment that our Summit Sustainers have made to Independence Pass. If you are interested in becoming a Summit Sustainer, contact Karin Teague, Executive Director, 970.274.9690, or email her, director@independencepass.org.
